1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Tavriq Active LLC, operating publicly as Tavriq Active (“Tavriq Active,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, request information, submit an application, purchase or use a coaching service, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our business.
Tavriq Active provides fitness coaching, general nutrition education, movement review, and related wellness support. We are based at 206 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. This policy applies to information handled through the website and our direct business communications. It does not control the independent privacy practices of Shopify, payment processors, wearable providers, messaging platforms, or other third parties that you choose to use.
The application form included in the supplied website package is a browser demonstration and does not transmit data by itself. If the form is later connected to Shopify Forms, email, a CRM, or another service, this policy should be updated to identify the actual provider and processing flow before publication.
2. Information we may collect
Information you provide
Depending on how the website and services are configured, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, preferred messenger, messenger handle, billing details, selected service, general fitness goal, availability, training experience, equipment access, and the content of messages you send. When you enroll, we may also receive information needed to plan and deliver coaching, such as exercise history, session feedback, progress notes, food preferences, sleep observations, injuries or limitations you choose to disclose, and photos or videos submitted for technique review.
Transaction information
If paid services are enabled, payment information is generally collected and processed by the selected payment processor rather than stored directly by Tavriq Active. We may receive limited transaction records such as payment status, amount, date, billing name, and a processor-generated reference number. We do not intend to collect complete payment-card numbers through ordinary coaching communications.
Information collected automatically
Shopify and enabled website technologies may collect device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, general location derived from IP, referral source, pages viewed, timestamps, cart activity, and similar technical or usage data. The exact information depends on the theme, Shopify settings, installed applications, consent tools, and analytics services active on the published store.
Information from third parties
At your direction, we may receive information from wearable platforms, calendar tools, video platforms, or messaging services. We do not require a particular wearable to access every service. If you choose to share Oura, Apple Watch, or other wearable summaries, only provide information you are comfortable using for coaching purposes.
3. Fitness, wellness, and potentially sensitive information
Fitness coaching can involve information that a person considers private or sensitive. Examples include weight, measurements, exercise capacity, sleep patterns, progress photos, movement videos, past injuries, and general wellness observations. Tavriq Active requests only information reasonably related to the agreed coaching scope and does not ask clients to send medical records, diagnostic reports, insurance information, genetic data, or information unrelated to coaching.
Tavriq Active is not a medical provider and does not represent that ordinary coaching records are protected health information under HIPAA. Different privacy, security, or breach-notification requirements may apply depending on the technology used and the type of information processed. Clients should not use general website or messenger channels for emergencies or for information that requires a medical professional’s secure clinical system.
We do not sell fitness or wellness information. We do not use progress photos, movement videos, results, or private client statements for advertising without separate permission. Permission to provide information for coaching is not permission to publish it.
4. How we may use personal information
We may use personal information to review inquiries and applications; communicate about program fit, scheduling, onboarding, or support; create and adjust agreed coaching plans; provide technique feedback; maintain client and transaction records; process payments and refunds; protect accounts and business systems; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal obligations; enforce our terms; respond to rights requests; and improve website usability and service operations.
When we use information for service improvement, we seek to use aggregated or de-identified information where practical. We do not promise that every plan will use wearable data or automated analysis. Coaching decisions are intended to be reviewed by a person within the agreed service scope.
We may send operational messages related to an inquiry, application, purchase, scheduled session, service change, security issue, or policy update. Marketing messages, if introduced, should be sent only where permitted and should provide a practical way to opt out. Opting out of marketing does not prevent essential transactional or service communications.
5. How information may be disclosed
We may disclose limited information to vendors that help operate the business, such as Shopify, hosting and security providers, payment processors, scheduling tools, communication platforms, document storage services, analytics providers, or professional advisers. Vendors should receive only the information reasonably needed for their function and remain subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful process, or a valid governmental request; protect the rights, safety, and security of clients, the public, Tavriq Active, or others; investigate suspected fraud or misuse; establish or defend legal claims; or complete a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of business assets. If ownership changes, personal information may be transferred subject to applicable requirements.
We do not rent personal information. We do not exchange client information for money. If future advertising or analytics configurations could be treated as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under an applicable privacy law, the published policy and consent controls should be updated before that activity begins.
6. Cookies, local storage, and Shopify technology
The website may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and comparable technologies for core storefront operation, security, checkout, remembering preferences, measuring performance, or understanding how visitors navigate. Shopify and installed applications may place their own technologies. Their use can change when store settings or applications change.
The supplied theme code stores a light or dark color preference in the visitor’s browser using local storage. That preference is used only to remember the visual theme on the same browser. The demonstration application form does not transmit submitted content unless the site owner connects it to a receiving service.
You can manage many cookies through browser settings and, where provided, the store’s consent banner. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent cart, checkout, security, or preference features from working. Additional details appear in the Cookie Policy.
7. Retention and security
We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, the coaching relationship, transaction and tax records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Different records may have different retention periods. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely archive it as appropriate.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the nature of the information and the scale of the business. No website, email account, messenger, cloud platform, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your own device, account credentials, and messenger access and for notifying us promptly if you believe a communication or account has been compromised.
Do not send emergency information through the website. If there is an immediate threat to health or safety, contact emergency services or an appropriate licensed professional.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we control. You may also ask for a copy of information you provided, withdraw an optional consent, object to certain uses, or request information about relevant disclosures. The availability and scope of these rights depend on applicable law and may be subject to identity verification, exceptions, recordkeeping duties, or the rights of others.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the requester is the person concerned or an authorized agent. We will not request sensitive information that is disproportionate to verification. If we cannot fulfill a request, we may explain the reason where required or appropriate. Requests concerning information controlled independently by Shopify, a payment processor, wearable provider, or messenger should also be directed to that provider.
You may stop optional wearable sharing at any time by disconnecting the applicable service or ceasing to send summaries. That choice may limit features that specifically depend on those data, but it does not automatically end a coaching service unless the information is essential to the agreed scope.
9. Children’s privacy
The website and coaching services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Services for a minor, if ever offered, require advance review, a parent or legal guardian’s involvement, appropriate consent, and a service structure suitable for the individual. A minor should not submit an application independently.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Interstate and international use
Tavriq Active is based in Iowa, United States. If you access the website from another state or country, information may be processed in the United States or another location where a service provider operates. Privacy protections and government access rules may differ. Before intentionally serving clients in a new jurisdiction, the business should assess any additional privacy, consumer, tax, professional, or accessibility requirements.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when our services, forms, technology providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes should be presented through the website or an appropriate direct notice before they take effect when required. Continued use after an effective change is subject to the revised policy, except where additional consent is required.
